Accommodations

Because retreat is such a time of rest and personal exploration, a private room will be assigned to you unless you request a roommate. Our accommodations are simple and impeccably clean. Evident throughout the institute is the deep care that our dedicated housekeeping staff invests to help our guests feel at home and at peace. Most rooms have hall restrooms and a limited number of suites with private bathrooms are available. Nearly 30 bedrooms dedicated for Copper Beech Institute have been renovated with new furnishings, queen sized beds and air-conditioning; most of the remaining 130 bedrooms available have twin-sized beds and are shared with Holy Family Passionist Retreat Center. 

Arrival

You are welcome to arrive anytime after 3:00 p.m. on the day when your retreat begins. On a typical weekend retreat, we welcome you to enjoy a gentle yoga class led by Copper Beech staff at 5:00 p.m. before dinner which is served at 6:00 p.m. An orientation for all retreatants is at 7:00 p.m. Most weekend retreats with Master Teachers formally begin on Friday night at 7:30 p.m. and conclude on Sunday after lunch around noon. Room check out is 1:00 p.m.

Commuters

We welcome commuters to attend retreats at Copper Beech. Commuters must register in advance for all programs. Commuter pricing includes tuition, meals, amenities, and activities at Copper Beech. At this time, we do not offer a commuter rate without meals.
 

Healing Arts

Copper Beech Institute welcomes you to follow the path of healing in our newly renovated Healing Arts Suite. Copper Beech offers Healing Arts therapies to help support relaxation, self-discovery, and wellness. Our Healing Arts offerings include a traditional massage experience and reflexology. Healing Arts Therapies are available beginning on Friday at 4:00. Hour and half hour massages and reflexology appointments are available during the retreat and continue through Sunday afternoon after lunch. Schedule an appointment during your retreat.

Schedule

At Copper Beech Institute we explore the transformative power of mindfulness practice in an environment of openness and tranquility. Late Arrival

If you plan on arriving after 7:30p.m. on Friday, please e-mail us to make special arrangements at info@copperbeechinstitute.org.

Cell Phone Etiquette

Many guests choose to "unplug" during their time at Copper Beech. During your stay, we seek to create tranquil and restful space for our guests. In this spirit, we ask that cell phones not be used for talking or texting in public spaces such as the dining room or the program rooms. Cell phone usage is allowed outside, in your car, or bedroom.

What to Bring

  • Toiletries: Shampoo, soap, toothbrush, etc. 
  • Loose fitting clothing for yoga class or meditation
  • Slip on shoes for shower
  • Warm clothes and boots in the Winter to enjoy the labyrinth and the trails 
  • For some, bringing their own pillow can ensure a comfortable rest
  • While yoga mats are provided, we welcome you to bring your own too
  • Bedding and towels are provided

If an emergency arises while you are on retreat, phones in the hallway are available. Dial 9+911 to reach emergency personnel. For non-emergency issues, call the contacts listed on the phone directory posted next to the phones.
