Serenity

dsc_0337.jpg

Inspired by the weekend retreat I attended at Copper Beech Institute at the end of April, I wrote a poem to express how I felt while I was there. The Institute is a calming and re-invigorating place, which I am grateful to have learned about. I will definitely return.

With gratitude, Jo Palmieri

Serenity

Be still, be silent, be kind

A still body creates a still mind

Chaos nurtures the brain to race

Silence cultivates a calm pace

Kindness teaches compassion

It obliterates stress and tension

To live a more pleasant existence

Practice these three little words with diligence

Still, silent, kind

Peace you will find

In your body and in your mind
