Loving Life: A Mindful Approach to Happiness, Health and Love Within

A Weekend Retreat with Maria Sirois

June 2–4, 2017

LOCATION: Shoreline Retreat at Mercy Center

IDEAL FOR: All levels, including beginners

“The day will come when with elation, you will greet yourself arriving at your own door....”  Derek Walcott

Seeking to love our lives is not separate from the longing to love ourselves. Both are precious and sacred journeys. Through exploration of mindfulness and of a turning toward ourselves with kindness, we will move closer to the possibility of arriving at our own door with wonder and appreciation, if not elation. Using mindfulness practice as foundational to serenity within, we'll look at how we might build greater positive self-regard and from that place increase wellbeing, contentment, joy and a deep meaning.

This is a course for any who seek to increase their ability to love themselves in order to bring good to their world, for those who seek to heal, and for those who are positively ready to radiate! We'll examine practices and perspectives from sacred traditions, the science of positive psychology and the art of mindful awareness, and we'll play so that we may, as Derek Walcott continues, “Love again the stranger who was yourself.”
