Kathy Simpson has practiced yoga and meditation all her adult life, and found her spiritual home in Buddhism when she attended her first of many silent meditation retreats almost 20 years ago. She is a graduate of the Integrated Buddhist Studies and Practice Program at the Barre Center for Buddhist Studies and the Community Dharma Leader Training Program at Spirit Rock Meditation Center. She founded the Farmington Valley Insight Meditation Community in 2013.
Kathy leads meditation groups and offers workshops, classes and meditation retreats centered on the Buddha's teachings. She is inspired by the power of these ancient traditions to cultivate greater ease, clarity and well-being in our modern-day lives.
