Susan Nappi has a longstanding career in community-based research and public health practice. She holds a degree in chronic disease epidemiology from the Yale School of Public Health where she currently serves as the Executive Director of the Office of Public Health Practice. She has also served as the Senior Community Impact Director at United Way of Greater New Haven, focusing on community transformation through partnerships and innovative interventions. She holds certifications in Circle of Security® Parenting™and Circle of Security® Core Sensitivities, and has studied non-violent communication with Marshall Rosenberg. She has been deeply influenced by the teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh, to whom she was introduced by her mentor, Patricia Plouffe St. Onge, founder of the Center for Growth and co-founder of the Transfiguration Zendo. Susan is a practitioner of Shin Shin Toitsu Aikido (ki aikido), a martial art focused on the unification of mind and body.
