Theresa Nygren, LCSW has been in the field of Social Work for over 30 years. Her experience includes individual and group
counseling at an outpatient substance abuse facility, a Social Worker position with the Town of Farmington for 27 years and a
private practice both in Avon and Farmington for 17 years. She is trained to facilitate both Mindfulness-Based Stress
Reduction groups and Mindful Self-Compassion groups. Additionally, she is a certified Let Your Yoga Dance instructor.
Currently, she co-leads Mindful Self-Compassion groups and workshops, Mindful Eating workshops and Let Your Yoga Dance and Meditation workshops with Angela Mazur, LCSW, LLC. Mindfulness is a core component of both her professional and personal life. She lives the principles she teaches, making sure she takes adequate time for meditation and overall good self-care on a daily basis.
