The public is invited to visit once or several times to observe the mandala as it unfolds. Zen Weekend Retreat at Copper Beech Institute

September 10, 2014 – The retreat "Waking up Together: A Weekend of Zen Practice" October 24-26, 2014. This silent retreat offers people of all backgrounds the opportunity to experience a retreat or “sesshin” in the tradition of Zen Buddhism. The program will include beginner’s instruction, seated meditation (zazen), walking meditation (kinhim), chanting, teacher-led dharma talks, and one-on-one interviews with the teacher (daisan). The Copper Beech Institute Launches Inaugural 2014-2015 Season

July 29, 2014 – Connecticut’s premier retreat center for mindfulness and contemplative practice announces the launch of its inaugural 2014-2015 season, with retreats, courses, trainings, and events running from September 2014 to June 2015. The Institute will begin the season with a two-month series of grand opening programs to include free will offering meditation groups, an 8-week mindfulness course, as well as overnight, day, and rest and renewal retreats.
