Program Administrator

The Copper Beech Institute seeks caring, joyful, and meticulously detail-oriented program administrator to support its expanding programming. In addition to administrative leadership, this position provides opportunities to shape the direction of this vibrant, new nonprofit organization. Hours are between 30-40 weekly. The position includes the following responsibilities:

  • Answer main phone and answer general e-mails and questions
  • Administer continuing education credits
  • Process registrations
  • Execute marketing tasks and graphic design projects
  • Coordinate with presenters in preparation for programs
  • Coordinate volunteer schedule
  • Scholarship administration: granting scholarships and correspondence with applicants,
  • Printing support materials for retreats: nametags, schedules, and welcome brochure
  • Coordinate and manage program schedules and use of meeting spaces
  • Occasional room set up for programs
  • Administrative support to executive director and program coordinator
  • Occasional Friday evening event registration
  • Weekly registrant update: send executive team updates on program registration numbers
  • Copy changes to website

The ideal candidate would be:

  • friendly and willing to field email and phone inquiries
  • meticulous with details
  • eager to embody the mission and vision of Copper Beech Institute
  • comfortable being the liaison with the chef and kitchen manager in advance of events
  • familiar with mindfulness and a variety of contemplative practices
  • an excellent communicator, including written correspondence and phone personality
  • able to work as part of a team but also independently, adjusting to changing priorities
  • proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • comfortable with social networking platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram)
