IDEAL FOR: Beginners
Recent research says that most of us spend nearly 50 percent of our time thinking about something other than what we’re doing, usually replaying events of the past or worrying about an imagined future, both contributing to stress and unhappiness. Mindfulness is the practice of cultivating present moment awareness by paying attention on purpose, with a sense of openness, curiosity, and patience. Through this lens, we are able to tap inner resources for greater clarity, ease, compassion, and resilience.
This one-day experiential retreat blends an introduction to the principles of mindfulness with periods of practice, including guided sitting and walking meditation, body scan and mindful communication. We will explore simple opportunities to bring mindful practice into daily life, and you will learn tips and resources for continued practice.
Tuition is $125.

January marks the completion of my first 90 days as the new Executive Director of Copper Beech Institute and I couldn't be more grateful for the warm welcome of this community that is made up of our board, staff, facilitators and participants. Each of you in your own particular way help to make Copper Beech what it is, and helped to get CBI to it's current moment of evolution. With that said, I am excited to share that many inspired changes are afoot! ✨
