Overnight Retreat with Marcia Vallier
October 25, 2019 05:00 PM - October 27, 2019 01:00 PM

IDEAL FOR: All levels including beginners

When there is chronic physical pain within the body there is always an energetic component associated with it, which presents us with an opportunity to invite healing. When we start to open ourselves up and look at the energetic piece of our pain, we can start to heal at a deeper level and bring balance into our being.

This energetic component is known as the chakras, which are energy systems within the body. According to Kundalini Yoga we have eight chakras, and each is directly linked to how we interact with our world through our behaviors and attitude.

In this weekend retreat, we will learn about the chakras and their effects, expanding to learn how to work with them to facilitate physical, mental, and emotional healing. The weekend will give us time to activate each of the chakras through the ancient methods of Kundalini Kriyas, which include the practices of mantra, meditation, pranayama (breath exercises), mudras (hand expressions) as well asana (physical postures). Contemplative work in small groups will support and encourage the discovery of possible connections between chronic physical imbalances and patterned emotional and mental states. Participants are invited to wear comfortable clothes and bring a yoga mat and journal.

Tuition is $250 plus accommodations.
