Leave a Lasting Legacy
Why not make a legacy gift to sustain Copper Beech Institute’s healing mission for generations to come? Your decision to remember Copper Beech Institute in your will, estate plan, or other long-range financial arrangement is one of the most decisive actions you can take to bring healing to our world. Your transformational generosity will support our efforts to create a world of compassion, peace, and resilience; a gift that will last beyond a lifetime.
With your planned gift, you will become part of Copper Beech Institute’s Legacy Society, a circle of individuals we honor as our most trusted partners for their extraordinary commitment.
As a member of our Legacy Society, you will receive:
· Special updates on our programs
· An invitation to our Annual Harvest Celebration and other special events
· Recognition in our Annual Report as a member of the Legacy Society
· Recognition on our website and communications
How it Works
Step 1. You designate a particular asset or a percentage of your estate to Copper Beech Institute by including a bequest provision in your will or revocable trust. With the assistance of your attorney, you can do this while creating your will or trust, or you can amend an existing one with a simple document. You can give:
· a stated dollar amount
· a percentage of your residual estate (that is, what remains after gifts to loved ones and expenses have been paid)
Step 2. You inform us of your decision, which helps with planning and ensures your wishes are fulfilled.
Step 3. Copper Beech Institute receives the gift after your lifetime and applies it to support our mission. Your contribution is fully deductible for federal estate tax purposes, and there is no limit on the deduction your estate can claim. In addition, the gift is usually exempt from state inheritance taxes.
How You Benefit
You decide how much to give—no gift is too small.
Your gift costs you nothing now.
You retain control of your assets during your lifetime and, if your circumstances change, you can modify the gift.
You may choose to keep your gift anonymous.
You can leave a gift in honor or memory of someone who influenced your life.
You will be remembered as someone who supported thousands of people, including students, veterans, teachers, nonprofit professionals, incarcerated men, and countless others, in becoming more resilient, loving, and compassionate.
