Emily Williams

 

Emily Williams, LCSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Connecticut. She has over 20 years of extensive experience working with youth, families and adults in various settings including in-home and outpatient therapy, emergency mobile psychiatric services, and schools. Emily has extensive trauma training including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Emily has also completed a 10-month certification program through Center for Mindful Self Compassion for Self-Compassion in Psychotherapy (SCIP). She is also level one trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS).

Emily believes in the benefits of mindfulness, meditation and self-compassion both personally and professionally. She has seen how impactful incorporating self-compassion can be when working alongside individuals to help them heal. The catalyst for growth begins within- when an individual can become attuned to their authentic self with understanding and warmth.

Emily earned a Bachelor’s of Social Worker from Central Connecticut State University and a Master’s degree in Social Work from Fordham University. Emily currently has a full time private practice in Rocky Hill.
