Norman B. Anderson, Ph.D.

Norman B. Anderson, Ph.D. is a professor and an assistant vice president for research and academic affairs at Florida State University (FSU). At FSU, he created and directs the FSU Faculty Leadership Development Program. As a Certified Professional Coach, Dr. Anderson is also Principal of Anderson Leadership Coaching and Consulting, LLC, which builds on over two decades of experience working with and developing senior executives and leaders in complex organizations. He has served as CEO of the American Psychological Association and as associate director of the National Institutes of Health. He also served as a professor at Duke University Medical School and the Harvard School of Public Health. A 40+ year practitioner of various meditation approaches, he has training in mindfulness facilitation from the Mindful Awareness Research Center at the University of California at Los Angeles and has specialized training in The Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership®.
