Robin began practicing yoga and meditation in her twenties, when she was seeking a holistic approach to managing her chronic back pain, anxiety, and insomnia. Robin’s early exploration of these ancient practices transformed her view of the possibilities for human health and healing. The desire to serve set her on a lifelong journey of study, practice, and devotion to empower others to grow in both health and wisdom.

Robin is a certified Yoga Instructor and Yoga Therapist (IAYT) with thirty years of experience. She is a practicing PTA in outpatient physical therapy and has her Master’s Degree in public health. She was the director of the Griffin Hospital Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Program from 1993 to 2000. She completed an MBSR internship at the University of Massachusetts in 1992. Over the past three decades, she has studied yogic and Buddhist forms of meditation and yoga in the Kripalu, Iyengar, and Anusara traditions. She is certified to teach Yoga for Osteoporosis and Yoga for Arthritis.

Robin offers private and group yoga instruction in the Farmington Valley area. She specializes in yoga for chronic conditions and healthy aging. See her website www.robinkirscheyoga.com for more information.
