Updated: Feb 10

We’re excited to share that we received a grant from the CVS Health Foundation to help us strengthen our impact within the Connecticut community as part of their Hometown Fund mission! As we continue to contribute to addressing mental health challenges in the workplace and at home, we appreciate allies in the charge.

With this funding, we are able to better launch the Self-Care Toolkit and open the cohorts to registrants starting in October with a tuition scale. The Self-Care Toolkit is an 8-week professional and personal development journey that enriches participants' lives with practical tools for self-discovery, stress management, and integrating mindfulness into daily life.

This course covers foundational topics such as:

  • defining mindfulness

  • understanding the stress response

  • cultivating self-compassion

  • exploring myths and realities

  • recognizing community and interconnection

  • sustaining practice

By the end of the program, participants will be able to apply mindfulness for better focus and presence in daily life, enhance communication for empathetic and effective interactions, and integrate mindfulness in the workplace to create a supportive culture. See below to register yourself or your team!

We look forward to supporting more communities by bringing mindfulness to the workplace and making HR an inside job.

Thank you, CVS Health! 🧡

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Since 2012, Copper Beech Institute has offered space for reflection, connection, and transformation through mindfulness practice. In 2022, we deepened our compassionate action, dedicating ourselves more specifically to healing racial injustice and creating a greater sense of belonging for people of color in our programming.

In 2025, due to funding challenges, we reached a point of completion—the sunset of our organization. While Copper Beech is closing, the work of racial justice and mindfulness continues. This moment brings many emotions, yet it also offers us the opportunity to honor all that has been, and to close this chapter with the same love and intention with which it began while applying our efforts beyond the bounds of the institute.

We invite you to visit our blog to witness the impact of our last two years and beyond, and to explore our website as a reflection of all we offered. Final programming for Copper Beech Institute ceased in June 2025, and the office officially closed as of October 2025.
