Wintering and Reminders: Please Give Today ❄️

Updated: Sep 29

As the year comes to a close we want to thank you for your ongoing membership in our community and readership as you stay abreast of all the mindful work here at Copper Beech.

We hope that the darkness of Wintertime (if you’re in the Northeast) has enveloped you in the warm cozy glow of hibernation and that you’ve given yourself the gift of slowing down, even if just for moments at a time.

The end of the year is the best time to be sure to donate for tax benefits, and we encourage you to do so now, because one thing we know for sure is that we couldn’t possibly do this without each and every one of you who pause to click the link and donate.

Today, we invite those of you who have never donated before to join us with something modest and doable for you, and to set a recurring donation if you’re feeling eager to see what Copper Beech will contribute to the mindfulness field and local communities in 2025. At the moment, we are gearing up for multiple trainings in early January bringing mindfulness to educators and administrators at Futures School, Capital Prep, and Waterbury School District.

We thank you in advance for your support. You helping us keep the lights on is what will make it possible for us to make it through this Winter. All nonprofits have their call to action moments, and this is one of them. Please support Copper Beech as an expression of the myriad ways the roots of this organization have supported your work, your family, your community, your vision.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Since 2012, Copper Beech Institute has offered space for reflection, connection, and transformation through mindfulness practice. In 2022, we deepened our compassionate action, dedicating ourselves more specifically to healing racial injustice and creating a greater sense of belonging for people of color in our programming.

In 2025, due to funding challenges, we reached a point of completion—the sunset of our organization. While Copper Beech is closing, the work of racial justice and mindfulness continues. This moment brings many emotions, yet it also offers us the opportunity to honor all that has been, and to close this chapter with the same love and intention with which it began while applying our efforts beyond the bounds of the institute.

We invite you to visit our blog to witness the impact of our last two years and beyond, and to explore our website as a reflection of all we offered. Final programming for Copper Beech Institute ceased in June 2025, and the office officially closed as of October 2025.
