IDEAL FOR: All levels
Courageous Candlelight Conversations provide a forum to explore the connection between contemplative practice and vital social issues. Engaged citizenship in which people take an active role in their communities relies upon honest dialogue and sincere listening about our common convictions and diverging viewpoints. Candlelight Conversations provide a space for true exchange where people deeply encounter one another in a spirit of authenticity and compassion. Each Candlelight Conversation will include meditation, mindful conversation, and teaching, concluding with tea and refreshments.
For our third Courageous Candlelight Conversation of 2020, we will hold space for shares and reflections on the topic of transforming through life’s challenges. Facilitated by Miranda Chapman, this gathering will feature Chris Grosso, best-selling author of Indie Spiritualist, Everything Mind, and Dead Set On Living. During this session, we will explore what it means to accept oneself fully in all our perfect imperfections; to take an honest, fearless look at our true self and stay there, acknowledging both the frailty and the glory in the same glance. In this conversation, participants will be encouraged to open up about their difficult life experiences and how they have or haven't (yet) used them as catalysts on their healing journey.
All are welcome. No registration necessary. Free-will offering.
