IDEAL FOR: All levels including beginners
Personal boundaries are guidelines or limitations that we create to define safe and permissible ways for other people to behave towards us, as well as how we will respond when a person breaches those limits. The skills of identifying our boundaries and communicating them compassionately are essential for building trusting relationships and supporting our overall emotional health. In this two-hour workshop, we’ll discover practical tools to become aware of our body’s signals, identify our boundaries, and become responsive versus reactive.
We will explore:
• The signals our bodies might give us when someone has pushed past our limits
• Tools to calm our nervous systems, so that we can be aware of these breaches without being emotionally reactive
• Why it’s important for humans to understand their boundaries and respect the boundaries of others
• Cultivating our agency, empowerment, and confidence
• How to communicate compassionately and clearly
• How to listen deeply and reflect our understanding of someone’s perspective while still honoring our own
• Please bring a journal and a pen.

January marks the completion of my first 90 days as the new Executive Director of Copper Beech Institute and I couldn't be more grateful for the warm welcome of this community that is made up of our board, staff, facilitators and participants. Each of you in your own particular way help to make Copper Beech what it is, and helped to get CBI to it's current moment of evolution. With that said, I am excited to share that many inspired changes are afoot! ✨
