Gus' path to peace started in the most unlikely of places - prison.  Having created his own meditation practice while serving an initial seven-year sentence, only to see it fall to the wayside after his release, it wasn't until Gus was reincarcerated in the Hartford County Correctional Facility for a probation violation that he found Copper Beech Institute and the permanent peace that he sought.
