In a world ablaze with conflict and focus on separation and individualism, the only way to bring the changes we want to see is through healing together. For liberation to be possible (for all), we must tend to our individual and collective trauma through practices rooted in celebrating our differences while experiencing safety together. When we feel safe, we have the courage to realize the systemic change that is emerging in ourselves and our communities. This is beloved community.

The times that we live in are calling for greater skills in stabilizing our nervous system and coming home to ourselves. In this 3-night retreat we will learn more about establishing safety in a world that often feels unsafe, helping others experience safety, and practice building a beloved community so that we can deepen in our peace and wellbeing.

Together we will explore practices in resiliency including:

- Sitting and walking meditations focusing on the breath and/or bodily sensations to cultivate awareness and calmness.
- Artful movement to release tension, promote relaxation, and foster self-expression.
- Tools to restore our resiliency that draw upon the Community Resiliency Model aimed at promoting self-regulation, stress reduction, and resilience-building in individuals and communities. from the Trauma Resource Institute
- Group sessions where we come together to share experiences, support one another, and engage in activities or discussions aimed at promoting healing, connection, and personal growth.
- Tracking our own experiences, emotions, and physical sensations through journaling or other self-reflection practices, to gain insight into patterns, triggers, and progress in healing and resilience-building.
- Grounding techniques to help us connect with the present moment through practices such as deep breathing, focusing on sensory experiences, or using grounding objects or imagery to anchor oneself during moments of distress or overwhelm.
- Resourcing which involves identifying and cultivating internal and external sources of support, strength, and resilience, such as positive memories, coping skills, social connections, and self-care practices, to draw upon during times of stress or adversity.
