Kathy Simpson
Copper BeechKathy Simpson has practiced yoga and meditation all of her adult life, and found her spiritual home in Buddhism when she attended her first silent meditation retreat more than 20 years ago. She is a graduate of the Integrated Studies and Practice Program through the Barre Center for Buddhist Studies and the Community Dharma Leader Training Program through Spirit Rock Meditation Center.
Kathy founded the Insight Meditation Community of the Farmington Valley in 2013. She has also facilitated meditation groups, study programs, and contemplative retreats through various venues, including regional yoga studios and the Barre Center for Buddhist Studies. She has offered Buddhist studies at Copper Beech Institute since 2018.
Kathy is inspired by the power of the Buddha's ancient teachings, their relevance today, and their power to help us cultivate greater ease, clarity and well-being in our challenging, modern-day lives.
