Living From Your Center: Integrating Mind, Body, and Spirit

  • Copper Beech Main Campus 303 Tunxis Road West Hartford, CT, 06107 United States (map)

Overnight Retreat with Nadia Colburn, Ph.D.

In most of our lives, we live in a fragmented way. In this weekend retreat, we will work to integrate mind body and spirit, and reconnect with ourselves using the tools of mindfulness, attentive movement through yoga, and writing. Our meditation practice will help us quiet our minds and listen more deeply. Our yoga will help us move our energy, unblock areas that get stuck, and pay attention to the places where we hold tension. Finally, our writing will be a time to explore our stories and intentions in the form of journaling or creative expression. (One need not be a writer to attend this weekend retreat; we all live in language and narrative.) From the many sources of meaning in our lives, we will come into greater alignment so that we can be more integrated internally and share our full selves with more authenticity in the world.

There will also be time for community building, relaxing in the beautiful surroundings of the Copper Beach campus, and enjoying good company and delicious, nourishing food. We will ask you to go deep, but will also give you time to nourish yourself so that you leave recharged, with a renewed sense of equanimity, purpose and clarity.

Tuition is $250 plus accommodations. The retreat begins on Friday, August 18 at 5:00 pm with an all-levels yoga class and concludes on Sunday, August 20 at 1:00 pm.
